2016 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Dak Prescott, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and a new Teammate in 2017, hosted a youth football camp last month at Lake Dallas High School in Corinth, Texas. A near-record 932 young athletes converged on the school's campus to hone their gridiron skills under the watchful eye and encouraging direction of the first-time Pro Bowler and his staff. I
Several youth were able to attend the camp free of charge because of scholarships provided by Teammates For Kids, through the Boys and Girls Club of Dallas. The Boy’s and Girl’s Club mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The winner of the Good Teammate Award at this camp was 9-year-old Braydon Pennington. The award recognizes the athlete at the camp who best demonstrated the traits of a Total Teammate: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
