Teammates co-founder Garth Brooks and his band took advantage of their time in New York for two Yankee Stadium shows to visit the Child Life Zone at Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai in New York. For a few hours, they brought "pure joy, energy, spirit, and warmth" to the patients, families, and staff, according to Diane Rode, Director of The Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department.

Brooks and his fellow musicians engaged the kids by creating artwork with them, playing games, enjoying conversation, and taking lots of photos. Then, they stepped into the Zone Broadcast Studio for a live broadcast on "KidZone TV," created especially for pediatric patients and families restricted to their hospital rooms.

Rode continued, "As a Director, I can attest to the absolute healing power of Garth's warm presence among our pediatric patients and the hope that his relationship with them inspires. We are grateful every day for the power of The Zone in helping us to humanize healthcare for our seriously ill children and their families. Thank you, Garth, for your spectacular visit to our Child Life Zone and for all that you do for children across the country!"
