An entertaining afternoon was in the cards for patients and families in the Child Life Zone at Children’s Minnesota when world renowned magician Tom Ogden visited and left everyone spellbound with his talents. Ogden has been seen on NBC’s The World’s Greatest Magic and The Magic of Las Vegas. In addition, he has twice been voted “Parlour Magician of the Year” by the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. Ogden wowed the crowd in the Child Life Zone with his creative tricks, silly antics, and enthusiastic personality. Everyone was mesmerized with his ability to create a hat from tissue paper scraps, seamlessly repair a rope that was cleanly cut with scissors, and magically link large metal rings. His new fans were eager to become apprentice magicians themselves and learn the secrets of the craft.

The event was not only a treat for those in the Zone, but it was also broadcast live to both St. Paul and Minneapolis patient rooms via Star Studio, for those who were unable to attend in person. Star Studio videographer Scott Thiry stated, “By making Tom’s performance viewable to everyone we serve across multiple campuses, even more patients and families were able to join the entertaining experience.”

Thanks to Tom Ogden for an unforgettable afternoon of magic!
