David Villa has won a World Cup, captured the UEFA Champions League crown, lifted the FIFA Club World Cup trophy and last week he added another special achievement … the first-year Teammate was named the winner of the 2016 Landon Donovan MLS MVP award. The honor was in recognition of Villa’s tremendous campaign this year that saw him score 23 goals and assist on 4 more while leading New York FC to a second-place finish in the Eastern Conference. Villa was humbled as he accepted the award from MLS commissioner Don Garber, “To be a winner of all the voting when you see the MLS with the big players, means a lot to me. It’s one of the best days of my career.”

Congratulations David, we are proud to call you a Teammate!
