World-renowned violinist Lindsey Stirling, who thrills audiences with her combination of classical music with dance and electronica, visited The Zone at Children's Minnesota before her concert at the Orpheum Theatre on December 7. Stirling and two of her accompanying musicians arrived at the hospital after driving overnight following a performance in Chicago. To the delight of the patients and families, she performed several songs in The Zone's Star Studio and then spent time chatting and taking pictures with the kids.
The patients from Children’s MN created an orange mini violin on The Zone’s 3D printer (Lindsey’s favorite color is orange) and presented it to her as a thank you. Lindsey and her musical crew enjoyed their time in The Zone and in their own words stated, “This place has such an awesome vibe!”
Healing Arts Coordinator, Carol Allesee expressed, "What an exciting time in The Zone! Lindsey was so kind, and we're grateful that she came to see us in the middle of her busy touring schedule."
