Hundreds of young athletes converged on the campus of Shaler Area High School, for San Francisco Giants Outfielder Andrew McCutchen’s Baseball Camp. The 2013 NL MVP and 5-time All-Star has been a Teammate since 2017. Along with a staff of 30 coaches, McCutchen instructed the kids on the basics of the diamond and oversaw multiple practice opportunities.
Teammates was proud to provide scholarships that enabled children from the Boys and Girls Club of Western PA to attend the camp free of charge. The purpose of the Boys and Girls Club is to save and change the lives of children and teens, especially those in greatest need, by providing a safe, positive, and engaging environment and programs that prepare and inspire them to achieve great futures.
In keeping with the tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award to one camper at each of the Pro Camps they provide scholarships to, Teammates was proud to recognize Alex Krushinski, age 6. The award is given to a camper in recognition of his or her traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
