New York Yankee Dellin Betances, a first-year Teammate, hosted a youth baseball camp earlier this month at Progress High School in Brooklyn, New York. The camp covered baseball fundamentals and offered 271 athletic hopefuls the chance to practice with and learn from the 4-time All Star player and his staff of coaches.
Teammates was proud to provide scholarships to send several young athletes to the camp. The scholarships were presented through Our Lady of Sorrows Sports and Arts Kids League, who are dedicated to teaching our children responsibility, respect and teamwork.
In keeping with the tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award to one camper at each of the Pro Camps they provide scholarships. Teammates was proud to recognize 11-year-old Omar Santos for demonstrating the traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
